The Mitsubishi Electric American Foundation (MEAF) is committed to empowering and improving the lives of people with disabilities. Our goal is to promote inclusion and help people realize their full potential. Since 1991, MEAF and employee volunteers have invested more than 40,000 volunteer hours and $14 million in nonprofit organizations across the United States.
Some of the ways MEAF is making changes for the better in communities all over the country:
Providing $7.6 million in National Grants to promote full inclusion of youths with disabilities.
Matching charitable contributions of cash, products, and time donated by Mitsubishi Electric employees.
Empowering youth to lead productive lives through increased employment.
Establishing the Lead Others through Voluntary Efforts (LOVE) committee for Mitsubishi Electric employees. LOVE donates $10 for each hour team members volunteer.
Sponsoring fundraisers to purchase Christmas presents for children at Calvary Children’s Home.
Donating time and gifts for children at the Special Needs School of Gwinnet County and sponsoring a putt-putt golf tournament to raise funds.
Mending fences, landscaping, and a monetary donation for CORRAL. This facility uses horses to work with children with special needs.
Donating air conditioners to senior citizens in Atlanta and teaming up with Senior Citizens Services to help homeowners over the age of 60 who are unable to perform or afford certain home repairs.
Providing product training to Southface, an Atlanta-based non-profit that builds sustainable buildings and homes.
We are proud to donate funds and volunteer hours to organizations that share our morals and our dedication to improving the lives of people with disabilities. Our people make a difference through their work with Mitsubishi Electric and in the communities we serve.
