Annual Distributor Conference Reconvenes in Hawaii

- With a significant number of distributors,
manufacturer's representatives and employees attending, Mitsubishi
Electric HVAC Advanced Products Division celebrated an exceptional
year at its annual Distributor Conference at the Hilton Waikoloa
Village in Kona, Hawaii, from March 10 to 13, 2009.
The conference provided Mitsubishi Electric HVAC the opportunity to
interact with their distributors to discuss innovative ideas on how
to best take ownership of the opportunities that exist for ductless
or ducted, zoned comfort control systems within the U.S.
market.
"This year's conference presented distributors with a series of
thought leadership sessions designed to stimulate resourcefulness
and for each individual to gain his or her own personal sense of
responsibility and accountability," says William Rau, senior vice
president and general manager, Mitsubishi Electric HVAC. "We
encouraged distributors to take control of their future by sharing
in our vision and developing the necessary tools and skills to take
advantage of the opportunities for the split-ductless and VRFZ
markets. Our intent was to demonstrate to distributors how
investing in the Mitsubishi Diamond Alliance™ will significantly
aid them in growing their business."
During the conference, distributors were invited to take part in
breakout sessions hosted by Mitsubishi Electric HVAC staff. These
sessions focused on topics such as technical excellence; creating a
new vision to stimulate business growth; development and
implementation of innovative dealer and sales programs; and
creative techniques on customer engagement and increasing overall
customer satisfaction.
Attendees were also treated to guest speaker Dr. Jeff Dietrich,
whose presentation titled "The Future is Your Decision" focused on
the current state of the economy and how to positively look ahead
and prepare for the future rather than concentrating on the
current. Speaker Rob Lebow's presentation about "Personal
Accountability" took a close look at leadership skills and how to
take ownership of one's own destiny in both the personal and
professional arenas.
The conference also served as a venue for Mitsubishi Electric HVAC
to honor distributors and manufacturer's representatives whose
performance exceeded expectations in 2008. The Distributor of the
Year award distinguishes exemplary sales, growth and overall effort
with Mitsubishi Electric HVAC products. The 2008 United States
Distributor of the Year was awarded to ABCO Refrigeration Supply
Corporation, Long Island City, N.Y., and the International
Distributor of the Year award went to Inversiones Villamar/HITEC,
San Jose, Costa Rica.
Quota Buster awards were given out to those distributors who sold
above and beyond their established sales quotas for the past year.
The Excellence in Alliance awards were given to distributors who
are committed and have exceeded expectations regarding Mitsubishi
Electric HVAC's Diamond Alliance™ program. Also awarded at the
conference was The 2008 Manufacturer's Representative of the Year
award which went to Jim Huckins, Applied Equipment Sales, Renton,
Wash., acknowledging the company's overall growth in sales
territory and commitment to the Diamond Alliance program.

Accomplishments
In 2009, Mitsubishi Electric HVAC's P-Series Hyper-Heat INVERTER
systems received a readers' choice award from Building Products
magazine. In 2008, Mitsubishi Electric HVAC not only received a Top
Products Award from Building Operating Management for its P-series
four-way cassette, but their Mr. Slim MSZ-FD09/12NA was voted #1 in
the Contracting Business HVAC Comfortech Product Showcase Awards,
