Homeowners Benefit From New and Improved M-Series
Thursday, May 04, 2006Suwanee, Ga. -
Mitsubishi Electric's HVAC Advanced Products Division, Suwanee,
Ga., recently unveiled its new Mr. Slim® M-Series
residential line of split-ductless cooling-only and heat pump
systems that deliver greater performance and efficiency in a
smaller and more attractive design, according to Chuck Applebee,
product manager.
Perfect for new additions like sunrooms and in-law suites, as well
as existing areas of the home like finished basements, attics and
other main living areas, Mr. Slim units allow homeowners to keep
their homes cool without tearing them apart to add ductwork, or
sacrificing window space to noisy window units. These unique
systems, which can cool or heat up to three rooms, are comprised of
an outdoor unit, one to three indoor units and wireless remote
controllers. Installation is fast and easy, and only a small,
three-inch opening in the wall is required to connect the indoor
and outdoor units with refrigerant piping and control and power
wiring.
"The new Mr. Slim M-Series is packed with user-friendly features
that both contractors and homeowners will appreciate," says
Applebee. "Not only does the M-Series provide end users with lower
energy costs and improve the air quality inside homes, but its
quiet operation and powerful performance are unparalleled in the
industry."
Homeowners can improve the air quality in their homes with two key
features: an anti-allergy enzyme filter that captures harmful
microbes, reducing allergens, germs and bacteria, plus a separate
hybrid catechin pre-filter with fibers that have antiviral and
antioxidant properties, help reduce odors and bacteria in the home.
No matter what the climate, the M-Series remote controller offers a
variety of settings, giving each individual homeowner the
flexibility to meet his or her desired comfort needs. One degree
Fahrenheit step temperature setting allows for more precise
temperature control and improved comfort, while Powerful mode
provides 15 minutes of high-powered cooling or heating to quickly
bring a room to a comfortable temperature. The Econo Cool mode
technology allows temperatures to be set two degrees higher without
sacrificing comfort, resulting in a 20 percent decrease in energy
costs.
"We're proud to be able to offer one of the best products available
on the market to our consumers," says Applebee. "The M-Series
provides homeowners with an innovative cooling and heating solution
for any room in their home, while offering features that are
unavailable in most conventional systems."
