New Jet Towel™ Offers Energy Efficiency
Monday, September 17, 2007MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC JET TOWEL™ HAND DRYER OFFERS ADDED ENERGY EFFICIENCY AND COST SAVINGS
SUWANEE, Ga.,
September 17, 2007 - Mitsubishi Electric HVAC Advanced Products
Division has recently updated its high-speed Jet Towel hand dryer,
so it uses less energy and is easier to maintain. The Jet Towel is
faster, quieter and more cost effective than conventional hand
dryers.
"The new Jet Towel has a built-in, energy-efficient heater," says
Product Manager Chuck Applebee. "Room-temperature air can feel cold
to wet hands, so the heater provides greater comfort for users
during the drying process."
Easily the most energy-efficient hand dryer on the market, the Jet
Towel has been certified as environmentally preferable by
BuildingGreen.com. James Allard, president, PacArc Distributors,
the nationwide Jet Towel distributor, says that one Jet Towel hand
dryer, in a high-traffic area, used 300 times a day can save 2.7
trees a year. "The Jet Towel is perfect for any facility that wants
a revolutionary hand-drying solution that will save energy and
money."
The Jet Towel removes the need for paper towels, which eliminates
waste and significantly reduces labor costs. A restroom used 400
times daily may save as much as $3,765 annually in paper costs and
labor, adds Applebee. In addition, the Jet Towel remains extremely
sanitary, as the product never comes in contact with hands.
"From a user's standpoint, the biggest advantage of the Jet Towel
is the drying time," says Applebee. "Typical dryers can take up to
40 seconds to dry hands, whereas the Jet Towel takes between five
or six seconds."
The Jet Towel reduces drying time in two ways. First, it blows high
velocity air onto both sides of the hands simultaneously. Secondly,
hands are inserted flat into an opening on the Jet Towel, ensuring
that the maximum surface area is dried more quickly. After the
water is blown off of the user's hands, it is collected in the Jet
Towel's drain tank, keeping bathroom floors clean and dry.
Applebee adds that while also being efficient and easy to use, the
Jet Towel meets the needs of the Americans with Disabilities Act
(ADA) because it is touch-less and requires no effort to operate.
The Jet Towel will automatically shut off after 30 seconds of use
and can be mounted at any level, making the product accessible for
all consumers.
The Jet Towel is available in a 120-volt model in addition to the
220-volt model, making it easier to use in more restrooms in the
United States. In addition to the energy and cost benefits, the Jet
Towel is an aesthetic addition to any standard or high-end
restroom. It is easy to install and requires no extra
reinforcement. For more information on Mitsubishi Jet Towel, visit
