SUWANEE, Ga., July 29, 2011 - Mitsubishi Electric Cooling & Heating, America's No. 1 selling brand of ductless cooling and heating systems, today announced the promotion of Sean Boyer to senior director of business unit operations. In this position, created earlier this year, Boyer oversees the operations of each new business unit within Mitsubishi Electric.

"Sean's strong financial background and knowledge of our company operations make him uniquely qualified for this position," says Bud Nardello, vice president of sales, Mitsubishi Electric Cooling & Heating. "We know that his leadership and expertise will better position us for our future growth."

The creation of the new position of senior director of business unit operations reflects an organizational shift in Mitsubishi Electric. The company is transforming its five sales zones into "business units," each with a new organizational structure and self-directed responsibilities. Boyer will ensure that all five business units operate effectively.

Boyer joined Mitsubishi Electric in 2008 and held the position of HVAC division controller for the past three years. Prior to joining Mitsubishi Electric, Boyer served for seven years as director of planning and operations support at Philips Healthcare, headquartered in Andover, Mass.

Boyer earned his bachelor's degree in accounting at King's College, Wilkes-Barre, Pa., and his Master of Business Administration from Kennesaw State University, Kennesaw, Ga.
