New Ducted Indoor Units For Mr. Slim® Systems
Thursday, April 30, 2009Suwanee, Ga., April 30, 2009
-Mitsubishi Electric HVAC Advanced Products Division, has
expanded its MXZ Multi-zone system to include its newest unit, the
SEZ ducted indoor unit. The SEZ is a horizontal ducted indoor unit
which provides the benefits of Mr. Slim® systems (INVERTER-driven
compressor, total indoor comfort, dry mode) with the added benefit
of being able to conceal the indoor unit.
"The SEZ horizontal ducted indoor, in addition to the established
wall-mounted MSZ indoor units, will provide more application
flexibility with the MXZ Multi-zone system," says Chuck Applebee,
product manager, Mitsubishi Electric HVAC. "The low-profile ducted
units allow for the use of conventional registers and grilles
connected to ductwork. The relatively low static capacity, up to
0.2 in. W.G., in relation to traditional air handlers, assures a
limited amount of ductwork will be used to provide zone cooling or
heating. With this new indoor unit style, the MXZ can now connect
both wall-mounted and ducted indoor units to the same system to
best meet the multi-zone needs for residential to light commercial
installations.
The SEZ ducted indoor is controlled by the PAR-21MAA Deluxe MA
wired remote controller, with the option to be controlled by the
PAC-YT51CRB Simple MA wire remote controller.
A typical Mr. Slim M-Series MXZ Multi-zone system includes the MXZ
outdoor unit that allows up to four connected indoor units and
supports a variety of different indoor unit combinations. The MXZ
heat pump unit features the proprietary INVERTER-driven compressor
technology from Mitsubishi Electric HVAC, which provides
exceptional high-speed cooling and heating performance. Due to the
high rotation speeds of the compressor motor, desired temperatures
are reached more quickly than with conventional systems, ensuring
comfort without delay.
With a cooling/heating capacity of up to 36,000 Btu/h, MXZ
Multi-zone systems are the ideal solution for adding comfort to
multiple rooms in a home.
