Mitsubishi Electric Cooling & Heating Promotes Four Employees to Senior Sales Positions
Monday, December 12, 2011SUWANEE, Ga., December 12, 2011 - To support its continued growth, Mitsubishi Electric Cooling & Heating, an industry leader in ductless cooling and heating technology, today announced the promotion of four members of its sales team to newly created senior positions.
Ron Newman has been promoted to senior director of contractor development. Most recently, Newman held the position of sales director, where he oversaw sales in the northeastern and southern zones. Newman's more than 19 years with the Mitsubishi Electric sales team has provided him with extensive experience working with distributors and contractors to strategically identify key dealers. In this new role, Newman's main responsibility will be to collaborate with the channel marketing and training teams to develop and implement dealer/contractor programs throughout the sales organization.
Eric Griffin has been promoted to the position of senior director of channel sales. Griffin has been with Mitsubishi Electric for more than 25 years and most recently held the position of director of sales, in which he oversaw sales in the central and western zones. In his new role, Griffin will direct strategy of channel sales, working closely with business unit managers and channel staff throughout the U.S. to ensure that sales goals are met in the residential market. Griffin earned a bachelor's degree in marketing from Stephen F. Austin State University, Nacogdoches, Texas.
Dennis Cobb has been promoted to the position of senior director of commercial sales. Cobb, formerly the southern zone commercial sales manager, will be responsible for directing the sales strategy for Mitsubishi Electric's commercial product line, as well as supporting the development of organizational changes, new products and branding. Cobb brings extensive industry knowledge of the commercial business to his new role, with more than 27 years of experience in the HVAC industry.
Dale Fields, formerly director of national accounts, has been promoted to senior director of strategic accounts. In his previous position, Fields was responsible for developing and managing corporate relationships across the country, where he developed several key national accounts such as Kroger, Sears and Wal-Mart. In his new role, Fields will continue leading the national accounts team as well as lead the expansion into the utility and energy marketplace. The strategic accounts group will work in concert with the sales team to grow and enhance the Mitsubishi Electric Cooling & Heating brand. Fields earned a Master of Business Administration from Pepperdine University, Malibu, Calif., and a bachelor's degree from Georgia Southern University, Statesboro, Ga.
