Mitsubishi Electric Helps CEC Adopt AHRI Directory
Nemo enim ipsam voluptatem quia voluptas sit aspernatur
SUWANEE, Ga. - August 2011 - Mitsubishi Electric's Paul Doppel, director of government affairs and factory liaison, was instrumental in helping the California Energy Commission (CEC) sign on to use AHRI's (Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute) Directory of Certified Product Performance. The CEC will use AHRI as a source to determine compliance with Title 20 for certain HVAC systems, including mini-split air conditioners and heat pump systems.
Paul has been an active member of AHRI for years and was recently elected chairman of the Ductless Products Section of AHRI, the first member of an international company to be elected a product section chairman.
It is great news that the CEC has recognized AHRI as a valid source for measuring compliance. As California is at the forefront of new building codes, this could be an indicator of what will become standard in the future, and we are proud to be a part of making it possible.
