Residence of Herb and June Craddock

An image of the Craddock home's sunroom.
Except for a few days in the spring when we throw open the windows, we keep the system running 24/7 …. The system’s 13 SEER efficiency rating has helped us keep our electric bills low.

When Herb and June Craddock enclosed their 300-square-foot porch with glass on three sides, they created both a gorgeous addition to their Charlottesville, Virginia, home and a physically uncomfortable room. Even with a ceiling fan, it was uncomfortable in the hot, muggy summers, and much too cold in the winters. Ductless from Mitsubishi Electric offered year-round cooling and heating, and ideal comfort. The Craddocks say they entertain in the space constantly noq, yet their electric bills are low. Download the PDF below to read more. You’ll hear from the homeowner and see photos of the home and equipment.
