Stash Residence

Even in the summer months, the utility bill is comparable to our old house, which was one-third of the size.

Jenny and Aaron Stash built their home in Northbrook, Illinois, with a focus on sustainability, indoor air quality and energy efficiency. Their efforts resulted in LEED® Platinum certification, made possible in part by Mitsubishi Electric heat pumps. The heat pumps also contribute to the Stashes’ low energy consumption; their home uses about one-third of the energy that their neighbors’ homes use. Download the PDF below to read more. You’ll hear from the homeowners and architect, and see photos of the equipment and house.
