SUWANEE, Ga., April 4, 2016 – Mitsubishi Electric US, Inc. Cooling & Heating Division (Mitsubishi Electric) recently held its annual Diamond Service Group (DSG) Conference for its nationwide network of distributors’ technical service professionals. This two-day conference, held March 15-17, 2016 at the Airport Marriott Gateway in Atlanta, provides technical support training for Mitsubishi Electric’s commercial and residential cooling and heating systems.
“This conference is a once-a-year opportunity for DSG members to interact with fellow professionals and share HVAC best practices and other resources about effective service,” said Tony Hayes, senior director, service and technical operations, Mitsubishi Electric US, Inc. Cooling & Heating Division. “Contractors depend on the distributors’ DSG members for the expertise and excellence that Mitsubishi Electric is known for in the HVAC industry, and this conference reinforces this leadership role with troubleshooting tips and other education experiences.”
Breakout sessions were held during the conference included discussions addressing new and existing products, controls and diagnostics for in both residential and commercial product lines. According to Hayes, each year the instruction at these sessions is intensive and advanced to empower the distributor DSG service personnel to better serve customers in local markets.
The DSG has grown from a handful of members at its founding in 2003, to a network of 194 dedicated individuals located in North America, Latin America and the Caribbean. Members work for Mitsubishi Electric distributors and are the local customer contact for troubleshooting and providing support for all installed Mitsubishi Electric’s HVAC systems. Ongoing training with Mitsubishi Electric service staff and continual excellent customer service are two requirements individuals must meet to qualify as a DSG member. The DSG Program is organized and managed by Mark Rogers, national service and program manager for Mitsubishi Electric US, Inc., Cooling & Heating Division.
