Transforming commercial heating and air conditioning
Choose a Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) system to elevate your next project, while lowering environmental impact
CITY MULTI® VRF
Air-source and water-source commercial heat pumps
Our air-source heating and cooling solutions are highly efficient, bringing energy savings to your building through zoned heating and cooling, while our water-source VRF heat pump technology provides convenience and scalability. Whether updating an existing system or installing new construction HVAC, our VRF solutions provide the technology and performance your project requires.

Hydronic simultaneous heating and cooling
Hybrid VRF creates a refrigerant-free closed loop to heat and cool commercial spaces.
Heat is exchanged between refrigerant and water using our proprietary Hybrid Branch Circuit (HBC) Controller by a two-pipe refrigerant system. This allows for simultaneous heating and cooling while keeping the indoor spaces refrigerant-free, and maintaining exceptional comfort.

Flexible designs for large buildings
Three-phase SMART MULTI®
Three-phase SMART MULTI outdoor units are multi-zone units and can connect to up to 30 CITY MULTI® commercial indoor units and up to 12 residential and light commercial indoor units. These units support large motors and industrial equipment, making them ideal for strip malls, manufacturing plants, hospitals and more.

Frequently asked questions
Buildings currently account for 39% of the carbon emissions in the U.S. Many new requirements are geared toward increasing efficiency while reducing carbon footprints and air pollution. The goal: future-proof the built environment.
Building owners and developers are navigating an evolving real estate market and regulatory environment where sustainability significantly impacts the value, operating costs and marketability of their properties. Sustainable buildings meet our needs for comfort, health and safety while minimizing waste and environmental impacts.
All-electric Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) technology is the fastest growing segment of the commercial HVAC industry. Across the United States, developers and owners are discovering how VRF heating and cooling systems help future-proof their buildings and reduce operational costs.
Heat recovery extends the core concept of Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) technology to deliver higher efficiencies, utility cost savings and greater comfort control in buildings with zone diversity. METUS offered the industry’s first two-pipe VRF system with heat recovery’s most celebrated benefit: simultaneous heating and cooling.
Here’s the thing about conventional HVAC systems: they’re commonplace and most building occupants are unaware there’s a better way to heat and cool. We’ve become complacent to hot and cold spots, draftiness and excessively high energy costs during summer and winter. Fortunately, there’s a heating and cooling solution with no compromises involved.
