HERS

Other/General

The Home Energy Rating System (HERS) Index is the industry standard by which a home’s energy efficiency is measured on a scale of 0 (best) to 150 (worst). It can tell you where you can make modifications to your home for greater energy savings. When selling your home, a low HERS® Index Score can command a higher resale price. And when you’re buying a home you can anticipate the costs of energy bills and efficiency upgrades.

Economic Savings

Benefit

Variable-capacity systems use only the amount of energy necessary to keep each room in your home at your preferred temperature or set point. Through a combination of sensors and an INVERTER-driven technology, capacity will vary to keep up with changing energy usage and maintain desired temperatures. Conventional systems waste energy by turning off and on to meet the set temperatures, causing large temperature and energy swings. Variable-capacity systems maintain the desired temperature, reducing energy consumption by up to 40 percent.

Dual Barrier Fusion

Feature

The patented Dual Barrier Fusion technology reduces the collection of contaminants like dust, fibers, oil and smoke on system components resulting in consistent efficiency and easier maintenance. Dual Barrier Fusion's shielding power is fused directly into the material of the horizontal and vertical vanes during manufacturing to maintain vane cleanliness and reduce odors.

Cold-climate

Benefit

Offering year-round comfort even in extreme climates with Hyper-heating technology. And with Hyper-heat sumo®, achieve heating even in outdoor temperatures as low as -22°, producing up to 100% heating capacity at -10° F.
