For many of Airview AC’s customers and prospects in McKinney, Texas, seeing is believing. They want to see, hear, feel, and experience an all-electric, all-climate heat pump before purchasing it for their home or business.

This is why Airview AC owners Sergio Perez and Monica Schoeman-Perez created a mobile showroom that features Mitsubishi Electric’s line of ductless, all-electric, all-climate heat pumps.

“Our thought was, we should design a mobile showroom and let homeowners visualize what a ductless system would look like on their wall or ceiling and hear how quiet it is,” said Monica.

The couple enlisted Raul Perez, head of Airview AC’s Ductless department, to create the mobile showroom, which the team regularly takes to community events to market their services and Mitsubishi Electric all-electric, all-climate heat pump solutions.

“We open the back of the mobile showroom, turn on the condenser, and people are surprised that they can barely hear it when they think it’s going to sound like a jet engine,” Monica said.

As it turns out, the sleek showroom on wheels, which she likes to call a ductless house, has become a great marketing tool that has helped educate homeowners on the benefits of ductless, all-electric, all-climate heat pumps, and increased Airview AC’s sales.

Sergio and Monica have extensive HVAC experience, having worked in the industry for 25 years. After retiring from another HVAC company, Sergio founded Airview AC in 2015. Monica joined the family-owned company, now with $22 million in annual sales, and is its chief financial officer.

During their time in the industry, they’ve learned what brands they prefer. Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC US (METUS) aligns with the quality, customer service, and product support the Airview AC team wants from an HVAC supplier.

“Mitsubishi Electric’s all-electric, all-climate heat pumps are designed and engineered well, and they’re done so with the installer and the repair person in mind,” said Raul.

Additionally, Jimmy Vinson, Area Sales Manager for METUS and Airview AC’s METUS representative, provides quality service and support whenever needed. During a day off work, he helped staff the mobile showroom at a NASCAR event, speaking with homeowners about Mitsubishi Electric products on behalf of the Airview AC team.

It’s this kind of personal service Sergio and Monica want in an HVAC supplier and the kind of personal service they provide homeowners and commercial businesses as well. Monica added that Airview AC, an Elite Diamond Contractor®, wants to be a pioneer in the HVAC industry and hopes to double year-over-year sales in 2025 and beyond.

Mobile Showroom Success Is on A Roll

Once the mobile showroom was complete, Sergio and Raul took it on a trial run to a home under construction because they had heard the homeowner’s interest was piqued by ductless heating and cooling systems. After experiencing the Mitsubishi Electric all-electric, all-climate heat pumps in action, the homeowner purchased two ductless systems for his home. What’s more, the contractor who was installing the home’s cabinetry walked through the mobile showroom, tried the products, and purchased six ductless units for his own home.

Since then, the mobile showroom has been used to successfully build customer trust and enhance brand visibility through hands-on experiences. Team members take it to NASCAR races, local sporting events, concerts, and home and garden shows, encouraging people to come aboard and learn more about all-electric, all-climate heat pumps – sometimes for a chance to win a free ductless system. “People don’t know they want a ductless system when they know little about them,” said Monica. “Once they see it for themselves, realize it’s not bulky, envision how elegant it could look in their homes, and hear its quiet operation, they feel much more confident in their decision to buy."

“Our goal is to be number one in Mitsubishi Electric sales in our area – a goal we reached last year,” Monica said. “We believe in Mitsubishi Electric quality and know they will continue to drive the future of HVAC.”
